If you're expecting to sit out on your deck and hear it, you will be disappointed. It takes a 15 to 20 mph wind to make it chime. I added some plastic vanes to the center tube, and got that down to about 8 to 10 mph, but even then it is barely audible. It is very pretty though. The light lasts about 3 hours after a day in direct sunlight this time of year. It might do better in the summer. Update: As spring approaches, the light stays on longer. It now lasts all night. The finish is holding up nicely.
