I used this fountain on the deck behind the house. It really looked nice with some plant pots around it and sounded very soothing. The only problem was with the solar panel which doesn't use batteries and only works in the bright sun. Not much of a problem here in Florida, but the shade from a white bird of paradise tree was enough to stop the pump for a short time each day, and I use my deck at night, too. The AC adapter could have been used but I don't have an electrical outlet close to where the fountain is. The shallow bowl means having to constantly fill it with water because of evaporation. Still, I was satisfied with it and it lasted over two years. The metal stand finally rusted away and fell apart and the pump corroded, which could probably be replaced for a few bucks.
